Ingredients

For the Honey Glaze

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 2lb orange marmalade
  • 1 1/4 cup dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Bayou City Lemon Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp salt

Main Ingredients

  • 1 8 lbs fully cooked bone-in spiral ham
  • 1 medium orange sliced

Instructions

Preheat and Prepare the Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Layer the slices of orange in a shallow roasting pan and pour the orange juice over them.

Set Up the Ham and Make the Glaze

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and salt. Stir until just combined, then bring to a slight bubble. Let it simmer for about 4 minutes.

Bake the Ham

  • Pour half of the glaze over the ham and bake uncovered for 50 minutes. Then, pour the remaining glaze over the ham and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Ensure that the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Remove from the oven, cover with foil, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

Notes

Leftover ham can be stored in the fridge for 3-5 days. Reheat by slicing and warming in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes. Brush with extra glaze for added flavor.
