Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature Make sure it's soft for creaming
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Chocolate

  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs to the creamed mixture. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture. Mix just until combined to avoid overmixing.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

To elevate your cookies, serve with ice cream, fresh fruit, or drizzle warm chocolate sauce over the top. For storage, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for three months.
