Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating well until blended.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until combined.

Add Chocolate and Peppermint

  • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.

Bake Cookies

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges look set and the centers are still soft.

Cool and Serve

  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer bag for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5 minutes when ready to enjoy.
