  • 1 cup hot water Not boiling, just hot.
  • 1/2 piece lemon Juiced.
  • 1 teaspoon honey Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger Or 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger.

Optional Ingredients

  • a pinch cinnamon Optional, for added flavor.
  • a few leaves mint Optional, for garnish.

Preparation

  • Heat your water until it is hot but comfortable to sip.
  • Stir in the honey so it dissolves.
  • Add lemon juice and ginger. Taste and adjust the flavor, adding more lemon for brightness or more honey for sweetness as desired.
  • If using cinnamon, add just a pinch and stir well.
  • Sip slowly. This is not a chug situation.

Notes
