Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup butter Use unsalted butter for more control over seasoning.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with low-fat cream for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Canned or homemade is fine.
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the seasoned chicken into the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Making the Sauce

  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream, letting it thicken for about 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. When reheating, use an air fryer or oven to maintain chicken crispiness.
