Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh strawberries Choose ripe, juicy strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 loaf Pound cake or sponge cake Soft and sweet, this will be the base of your kabobs.
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Light and airy, it adds a delightful touch to each bite.
  • 8 pieces Skewers or sticks These will hold your kabobs together.
  • optional Chocolate sauce For an extra indulgent twist, drizzle some on top.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut pound cake into bite-sized cubes, about one inch in size.
  • Wash fresh strawberries under cool water and hull them to remove the green tops.

Assembling Kabobs

  • Thread a strawberry onto each skewer, pushing it down halfway.
  • Add a cube of pound cake onto the skewer, pushing it down gently.
  • Place another strawberry on top of the cake, and continue alternating until the skewer is filled.

Serving

  • Drizzle assembled kabobs with whipped cream and optional chocolate sauce.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Best when served fresh. If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Avoid freezing due to the fresh strawberries, but if necessary, separate layers to freeze. Preheat to 350°F (175°C) for gentle warming before serving.
