  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of strawberries.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Pat dry to avoid sogginess.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on each puff pastry heart.
  • Top with sliced strawberries.

Baking

  • Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling slightly, creating a heart shape.
  • Mix the egg and milk together, then brush the egg wash over the pastries.
