Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture and mix slowly.
  • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips gently.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each cookie.

Baking

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week in the fridge or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to regain soft texture.
