  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 3 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter is preferred.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup white wine (optional) Choose a dry white wine.
  • 1 large lemon, juiced Freshly squeezed juice is best.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust for spiciness.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season as desired.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds color and freshness.

For serving

  • Crusty garlic bread Great for soaking up the sauce.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Start by grabbing a large skillet. Place it over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Adding Flavor

  • If using, pour in the white wine along with the lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, and stir to mix.
  • Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serving the Dish

  • Serve the flavorful shrimp over cooked pasta or rice.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crusty garlic bread on the side.

Notes
