Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Balls

  • 1 lb fresh skinless salmon fillets Can use canned salmon as a budget-friendly alternative.
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs Store-bought breadcrumbs are convenient.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the salmon balls.
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped Can swap for cilantro for a different flavor.
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed is recommended.
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt Can be replaced with sour cream.
  • ½ tsp garlic powder Adjust to taste.

For the Creamy Avocado Sauce

  • 1 ripe avocado Ensure it's ripe for best flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, flake the salmon into small pieces.
  • Add in the breadcrumbs, egg, dill or parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until combined.
  • Form small balls with your hands, about the size of a golf ball.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake them in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Sauce Preparation

  • For the creamy avocado sauce, combine the ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a blender.
  • Blend everything until it’s smooth and creamy.
  • Serve the salmon balls hot with the refreshing sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, use an air fryer or oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to maintain crispiness.
