Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar Can reduce for a lighter version.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard Regular mustard can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Essential for flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • to taste lemon wedges For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your broiler or grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Brush the glaze generously onto the tops of the salmon fillets.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon under the broiler or on the grill for 7 to 10 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Brush any leftover glaze onto the salmon during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a minute. Serve with lemon wedges and a simple salad on the side.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
