  • 2 cups Cooked chicken breast, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for ease.
  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped Bright green leaves for best taste.
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing Taste for salt and adjust as needed.
  • 4 pieces Tortillas Soft flour tortillas work best.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Add extra if desired.
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly ground adds warmth.
  • optional pinch Smoked paprika For a hint of warm spice.
  • 1 Lemon wedges A squeeze brightens flavors.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped romaine, and Caesar dressing. Stir until everything is coated and glossy. Taste for salt and add a little more dressing if it feels dry.
  • Lay out a tortilla on a flat surface. Smooth it with your hand and warm it briefly in a dry pan if you like the edges soft and a touch golden.

Assembly

  • Spoon the chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla. Pile it in a line so you can roll cleanly. Resist overfilling so the wrap will close neatly.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Watch for the cheese to sparkle on top and the pepper to add tiny flecks of warmth.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll it up tightly. Tuck the edges under as you roll so the wrap holds together. A gentle press seals it.
  • Cut in half and serve immediately. Slice with a sharp knife so the filling stays in place.

Notes

The wraps are best eaten fresh. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge for up to 24 hours. For a picnic, wrap each one in parchment and tie with a string. Serve with chips, salad, or a warm soup.
