  • 2 cups roasted, unsalted pistachios For best results, use roasted pistachios.
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil Optional, for extra creaminess.
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup Optional, for sweetness.
  • a pinch salt Optional, to enhance flavor.

Preparation

  • Blend the pistachios in a food processor for about 2–3 minutes until they turn into a crumbly texture.
  • Scrape down the sides and continue blending as the nuts start releasing their natural oils.
  • Optional: Add olive oil to help with consistency and keep blending until smooth.
  • Optional: If you prefer a slightly sweet butter, add honey or maple syrup and blend until combined.
  • Store in an airtight jar and enjoy!

Notes

Homemade pistachio butter can last up to 2 weeks at room temperature or a month in the fridge. Stir before use as natural oils may separate.
