Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats Old fashioned oats are recommended.
  • 1/2 cup milk (or any liquid) Options include almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, or diluted yogurt.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter Great for the Peanut Butter Banana variation.
  • 1/2 banana mashed banana Use for creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional flavor booster.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup For sweetness.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Add 1/2 cup rolled oats to a jar or container.
  • Add 1/2 cup milk (or any liquid you like).
  • Stir, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

Serving

  • In the morning, enjoy as is or add your favorite toppings.
  • If too thick, stir in a splash of milk; if too thin, add yogurt or chia seeds.

Notes

Overnight oats can last in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Fresh fruit should be added in the morning to maintain texture. You can warm them in the microwave for 30-60 seconds if you prefer them warm.
