Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted and browned.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden and smells nutty; allow to cool.
  • In a large bowl, mix the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract and eggs; mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  • Drop rounded scoops of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or drizzle with chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to revive texture.
