Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Add-ins

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Optional ingredients for added texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and whisk until blended.
  • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well blended.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  • Using a rounded tablespoon, drop scoops of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months. Warm in an oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
