  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt Using yogurt can lighten the dish.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a salty, nutty finish.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Essential for flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise (or yogurt), Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.

Baking

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the topping is golden and bubbly.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

If the topping gets too brown, tent with foil for the last few minutes. For a crispier top, broil for a minute while watching closely.
