  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing) Use your favorite brand.
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon Cook until crispy.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Light or dark brown sugar both work.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Pure maple syrup is recommended for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans Can be substituted with walnuts.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon A dash more can enhance the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese For glaze; soften for easier mixing.
  • 1 tbsp milk For glaze; use more for a thinner consistency.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble it into smaller pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir until well blended and slightly glossy.
  • Roll out the cinnamon rolls carefully, then sprinkle the sugar mixture and crumbled bacon inside.
  • Roll the dough back up tightly and place the cinnamon rolls in a baking dish, arranging them close together.

Baking

  • Bake according to package instructions until golden brown and caramelized.
  • While baking, mix cream cheese with milk until smooth to create the glaze.
  • Once rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them generously.
  • Top with any remaining crumbled bacon and pecans.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the delightful flavors together.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature, or microwave for 15-20 seconds to rewarm. Adding fruit or different nuts to the filling can provide delicious variations.
