  • 1 piece onion or shallot, finely chopped (red onion recommended)
  • 1 piece jalapeño pepper, finely chopped (or habanero for more spice)
  • ½ piece bell pepper, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 piece lime, juiced (about 2 ½ teaspoons of juice)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt or pink salt
  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients.
  • Gently mix to combine, ensuring not to mash the mango pieces.

Serving

  • Serve right away with tortilla chips or keep stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

Adjust the heat of the salsa by adding more or less jalapeño. For variations, consider adding diced cucumber, pomegranate seeds, or roasted jalapeño for additional flavor. The salsa can be frozen without cilantro.
