Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey) Can substitute with ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional) Can substitute with honey.

For the Spicy Mayo Dip

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (or more, to taste) Adjust to your preferred spice level.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish For added flavor and visual appeal.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.

Cooking

  • Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden.
  • While the meatballs are baking, mix mayonnaise, Sriracha, lemon juice, and soy sauce in a small bowl. Adjust the Sriracha as needed for spice.
  • If desired, garnish the dip with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, let them cool slightly before serving warm with the spicy mayo dip.

Notes

Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
