Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground chicken You could also use ground turkey.
  • 1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese If using freshly grated, it adds a brighter flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Almond flour Optional; it helps with binding.
  • 1 large Egg Helps to bind the ingredients.
  • 1 tablespoon Shredded parmesan cheese Optional; adds flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasonings Add more for extra warmth.
  • Parchment paper For rolling and baking.
  • Olive oil spray To prevent sticking.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a medium bowl, add ground chicken, egg, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, almond flour, and Italian seasonings. Combine using a wooden spoon or your hand.
  • Mix until the ingredients form a ball. If it feels too wet, add a teaspoon more almond flour.
  • Cut two sheets of parchment paper and spray one with olive oil. Place your chicken mixture on it and cover with the second sheet.
  • Using a rolling pin, flatten the mixture into a round shape. Aim for even thickness.
  • Peel away the top parchment paper and transfer the crust on the bottom parchment to a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake the crust at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes until it turns golden.
  • Remove from the oven and check for golden edges and a firm center. If it’s still soft, bake for an additional two minutes.
  • Add your favorite toppings and sauces, ensuring they are balanced to maintain crust crispness.
  • Bake again at 400 degrees for another 8 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

Notes

Store any leftover crust in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge. Reheat at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes, or use a hot skillet.
