Ingredients
  

For the Cupcake Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Use real butter for best flavor.
  • 4 large eggs Make sure they are at room temperature.
  • 1 cup whole milk Make sure it is at room temperature.
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • to taste black food coloring To achieve a spooky, dark hue.

For Decoration

  • 1 batch white frosting (buttercream or cream cheese)
  • 1 black edible marker or black fondant for details
  • to taste chocolate mini chips or black candies for eyes
  • to taste decorative candies and edible glitter (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and eggs until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, until the batter is well combined.
  • Add a few drops of black food coloring and mix until the color develops evenly.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each about 2/3 full.

Baking

  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack before decorating.

Decoration

  • Cover each cupcake with white frosting.
  • Use a black edible marker or black fondant to draw Jack Skellington’s facial features.
  • Add mini chocolate chips or black candies for eyes using a small dab of frosting.

Notes

Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for longer storage. Consider freezing frosted cupcakes for up to a month.
