Sausage and Vegetables

  • 1 pound Italian sausage Remove casings before cooking.

  • 1 unit red bell pepper, diced Add color and nutrition.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing the vegetables.

Garnishes

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the bow tie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent.
  • Add the minced garlic and diced red bell pepper, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Remove the casing from the Italian sausage and add it to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

Combining

  • Toss the cooked pasta with the sausage mixture and mix well. Serve hot.

Notes

Feel free to adjust ingredients based on what you have. This dish can be doubled for larger gatherings. For a creamier texture, consider adding heavy cream or cream cheese after the sausage.
