Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef (chuck roast, brisket, or short ribs) Cuts suitable for stewing or shredding.
  • 1 lb Pork (shoulder or loin) Ideal for pulled pork or roasting.
  • 1 lb Chicken (whole, thighs, or breasts) Perfect for shredding or making soups.

Vegetables

  • 2 cups Potatoes Cut into chunks for easy cooking.
  • 1 cup Carrots Chopped for even cooking.
  • 1 cup Onion Diced for layering flavors.

Liquids

  • 4 cups Broth (beef or chicken) Used to steam and flavor the dish.
  • 1 cup Water Necessary for pressure cooking.

Grains

  • 1 cup Rice Use a 1:1 water-to-rice ratio.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chop vegetables and prepare proteins by cutting into appropriate sizes.
  • Add the proteins to the Instant Pot followed by the vegetables and pour in the broth and water.
  • If making rice or grains, add them on top of the liquid.

Cooking

  • Seal the Instant Pot lid and set it to pressure cook on high for 30 minutes.
  • Once cooking is complete, perform a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.
  • Open the lid carefully and serve hot.

Notes

For a more tender result, allow meats to marinade in spices or sauces before cooking. Adjust cooking times based on the size of the meat pieces.
