  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Low-sodium can be used for a healthier option.
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Pre-chopped garlic can save time.
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger Pre-grated ginger can also speed up prep.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Preparation

  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, pour the honey garlic sauce over the pork chops, and turn to coat evenly.
  • Cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Use an air fryer or oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to reheat.
