Ingredients
  

For the patties

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion Press out excess moisture before mixing.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking.

Preparation

  • Add Worcestershire sauce and mix gently until combined.

Shaping Patties

  • Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions, about 6 ounces each.
  • Shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick, making a small indentation in the center to prevent bulging while cooking.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for 130°F for medium-rare or 160°F for well-done.
  • Remove patties from skillet and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store cooked patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat using an air fryer or oven at 350°F until heated through.
