Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until golden brown with a nutty aroma. Let cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, mix the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space for spreading.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for freshness.
