  • 1 bag Frozen Tater Tots 1 bag typically contains about 32 oz.
  • 6 slices Bacon Can use pre-cooked bacon for faster preparation.
  • 4 large Eggs Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Sliced for garnish.
  • 1 bottle Hot Sauce Optional, for serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until browned and crisp. Transfer to paper towels, chop into bite-sized pieces, and reserve a bit of bacon fat if desired.
  • Whisk eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook in butter over medium-low heat until soft curds form. Remove from heat before fully solidifying.

Assembly

  • Assemble the bowl by layering tater tots at the base, spooning scrambled eggs over the top, and adding cheddar cheese and chopped bacon.
  • Top with sliced green onions and drizzle with hot sauce, if using.

Serving

  • Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast of crispy tots and soft eggs.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the fridge. Reheat in the oven or skillet for best results. This dish can easily be customized by swapping proteins or adding vegetables according to preference.
