  • 4 cups juice (your choice: berry, grape, or orange) Use any juice of your preference
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored beef gelatin Can substitute with agar-agar for a vegan option
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or agave, or cane sugar, optional) Adjust sweetness to taste

Preparation

  • Pour 1/2 cup of the juice into a liquid measuring cup or small bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the juice and stir to combine. Set aside for about 5 minutes.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat the remaining 3 1/2 cups of juice over medium-high heat until steaming. Do not boil.
  • Add the honey or sweetener (if using) and the bloomed gelatin to the hot juice. Stir to dissolve completely.
  • Pour the mixture into a 2-quart ceramic pan or heat-proof containers, cover with plastic wrap, and chill for at least 3-4 hours until set.
  • Enjoy the jello once it’s set or store in the refrigerator for up to 7-10 days.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different juices and add-ins like fresh fruit or yogurt for variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container for freshness.
