  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 TBSP gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup very hot water
  • 1.5 cups fruit juice Can be any fruit juice of your choice.
  • 1-2 cups fresh fruit (optional) Use ripe fruits like berries, citrus slices, or diced mango.

Preparation

  • Pour the cold water into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle the gelatin powder evenly over the top and allow it to bloom for one minute.
  • Stir briskly until mixed; it will start to thicken.
  • Add the hot water and stir to mix until smooth.
  • Pour in the juice and mix well to ensure everything is incorporated.
  • If using fresh fruit, place it in a single layer at the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish or molds.
  • Pour the gelatin mixture over the fruit and stir slightly to ensure the fruit is coated.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or overnight for a perfect set.
  • Once set, cut the jello into cubes or scoop it out with a melon baller.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Avoid freezing, as it may change the texture.
