Ingredients

  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin powder Key ingredient for texture
  • 1 cup total liquid (hot and cold) Split into hot and cold portions

Hot Liquid

  • 1 cup hot water or tea Must be steaming hot but not boiling

Cold Liquid

  • 1 cup cold water, tea, or juice To cool down and flavor the gel

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over a small splash of cold liquid and let it sit for 1-2 minutes until hydrated.
  • Pour in the hot liquid and stir until the mixture becomes clear (no lumps).
  • Add the rest of your cold liquid to reach a total of about 1 cup, taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  • Pour the mixture into small jars or molds and refrigerate for 2-4 hours until set.

Notes

Keeps well in the fridge for 4 to 5 days. Experiment with different flavorings like fruit juices or teas. Avoid using large amounts of raw high-acid juices to maintain gel integrity.
