  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Consider using panko for extra crunch.
  • 1/4 cup milk Adjust for moisture if using leaner meat.
  • 1 ea egg Bind the mixture together.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to your preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, caramelized onions, cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined, using your hands to get the right texture.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake for 45-60 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra flair, consider adding fresh herbs on top before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes or green beans for a complete meal. Store leftovers properly in the fridge for up to 3 days.
