Coating

Frying

Preparation

  • Clean and devein the shrimp, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

Breading the Shrimp

  • Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture to ensure it is fully coated.
  • Dip the floured shrimp into the beaten eggs.
  • Cover each shrimp with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they stick.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove the shrimp from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot.

Notes
