  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with milk for a lighter sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated is best.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  • Stir in beef broth and bring to a boil.
  • Add spaghetti, reduce heat to simmer until pasta is cooked, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Leftover pasta can be stored in airtight containers in the fridge and reheated gently with a splash of milk or broth. For a twist, consider adding chopped sun-dried tomatoes or fresh basil. Variations include replacing ground beef with turkey or Italian sausage and adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
