Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Additional powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even cooking.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract until mixed well.
  • Gradually add the flour, salt, orange zest, and chopped cranberries, mixing until it forms a dough.
  • Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in size, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet.
  • While still warm, roll them in powdered sugar for a snowy coating.
  • Let them cool completely on a wire rack, then roll them in powdered sugar again for a final coating.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to crisp them up.
