  • 1 pkg puff pastry, thawed Store-bought puff pastry is recommended.
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced Freeze slices for 10-15 minutes before rolling to avoid mess.
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Can be substituted with fig spread or peach jam.
  • 4 oz prosciutto, sliced Regular ham can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 tbsp honey For drizzling on top before serving.
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Optional for added crunch.
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme Optional for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • Layer the sliced brie, cranberry sauce, and prosciutto evenly on the pastry.
  • Sprinkle walnuts or pecans and fresh thyme over the filling.
  • Carefully roll the pastry tightly from one end to another.
  • Seal the edges with a bit of water.
  • Slice the rolled pastry into pinwheels, about 1 inch thick.
  • Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the pinwheels cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These pinwheels can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking. They can also be reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
