Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix
  • cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • lettuce for serving
  • tomato sliced, for serving
  • mustard for serving
  • mayonnaise for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into 6 evenly sized hamburger patties. Press a small dimple into the center of each to help them cook evenly.
  • Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties to your desired doneness, about 4–5 minutes per side for medium. Use a meat thermometer if needed.
  • Let the cooked burgers rest for a few minutes to retain juices.
  • Toast hamburger buns if desired. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. Add other toppings like pickles or onions as you wish.

Notes

For a homey touch, toast your buns with a bit of butter for added flavor. Keep things cozy by serving alongside hand-cut fries or a big bowl of salad. Leftover patties can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days—just wrap them snugly in foil or place in an airtight container.
