  • 1 cup coconut water (or cold water) Coconut water adds potassium and sweetness; plain water is also acceptable.
  • 1 juice of 1-2 lemons or limes Use fresh citrus for best flavor.
  • a pinch sea salt Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Use if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  • to taste magnesium powder (optional) Only if it agrees with your body.
  • ice For serving.

Preparation

  • Fill a glass with ice.
  • Add coconut water, citrus juice, and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir well and taste.
  • If it’s too sharp, add a tiny bit of honey.
  • Sip slowly, especially if you’re drinking it on an empty stomach.

Notes

Adjust the flavor if it feels 'off': add water if it's too salty, more coconut water or honey if too sour, or skip honey if too sweet. Aim to enjoy it mid-afternoon or after a workout.
