Preparation

  • Bake your favorite sugar cookie recipe or use store-bought cookies. Let them cool completely.
  • In a bowl, tint vanilla frosting with your choice of food coloring. Aim for bright, festive colors.

Decoration

  • Spread a thin layer of tinted frosting on each cookie, covering them evenly.
  • Place a gumdrop in the center of each cookie to form the sombrero top. Choose vibrant colors to catch the eye.
  • Using a piping bag, create a decorative ring of frosting around the base of the gumdrop. Get creative with shapes and designs.

Setting
