  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the croissant pieces.

Mixing

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant and chocolate layers.

Baking

  • Gently press down on the croissant pieces to help them absorb the liquid.
  • Allow to rest for about 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • Let it cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving warm.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit like strawberries or raspberries, and a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator for up to three days.
