  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix-Ins

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing

  • In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

To store cookies, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven for crispness.
