Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Beat in the vanilla extract and the egg into the butter mixture until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between cookies.

Baking

  • Bake the cookies in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
