  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Baking Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Toast the pecans on a baking sheet for about 8-10 minutes until fragrant.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix it into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the toasted pecans gently.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on racks before serving.

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container. They can be frozen for longer storage, thaw before enjoying. Consider adding cinnamon or chocolate chips for variations.
