Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter to be browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and nutty, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let the browned butter cool for a few minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, mixing until fully combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dollops of cookie dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Baking & Cooling

  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for three months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to restore crispness.
