Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and fragrant.
  • In a large bowl, combine the brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips gently.

Baking

  • Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
