Main Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio preferred)
  • 1.5 cups apple cider Sweetness varies by brand
  • 1/2 cup bourbon Use your favorite brand
  • 2 pieces apples, cored and sliced Skins left on
  • 1 piece orange, sliced Sliced into wheels
  • 1 piece lemon, sliced Adds brightness
  • 1/2 cup club soda or ginger beer Ginger beer adds spice

Optional Ingredients

  • 2 pieces cinnamon sticks For extra warmth
  • to taste whole cloves
  • to taste handful cranberries Optional for garnish
  • to taste maple syrup or honey Optional for sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Grab the biggest pitcher you own.
  • Add the sliced apples, oranges, and lemon.
  • Pour in the apple cider and white wine.
  • Add the bourbon and stir well.
  • If using, stir in the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  • Let the sangria sit in the fridge for at least two hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  • Before serving, add a splash of club soda or ginger beer.
  • Optional: Toss in cranberries for added flair.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

This sangria gets better after sitting in the fridge overnight. It can be made ahead but add the soda or ginger beer just before serving to keep it fizzy.
