Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature Ensure it is softened for better mixing.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature for even mixing.
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda and set it aside.

Mixing the Dough

  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and both sugars together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture while mixing. Stop as soon as everything is combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula or wooden spoon.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each ball.
  • Bake your cookies for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To keep your cookies fresh, store in an airtight container. They will last about a week in the fridge and up to 3 months in the freezer. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for a few minutes or use an air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
