Welcome

Hi, I’m Ethan Walker, and welcome to Lazy Meal Prep.
I created this blog to help people like me busy, hungry, a little tired get good food on the table without overcomplicating it. The name Lazy Meal Prep comes from my belief that cooking at home doesn’t have to be hard. It just has to make sense for real life.
I didn’t come from a restaurant background. I learned to cook by watching my grandma make slow-simmered sauces, helping my mom with weekend pancakes, and throwing together weeknight dinners for my own family. Once I became a dad, cooking became less about perfection and more about feeding people well, with food that feels comforting and doable. What started as a way to organize our favorite family meals has grown into a space where thousands of home cooks come to find recipes that actually work. Lazy Meal Prep is now a growing community of people who want simple food, smart prep ideas, and a kitchen that fits their life, not the other way around.

What You’ll Find Here

The recipes on Lazy Meal Prep are a direct reflection of how I cook at home. I’m always looking for that sweet spot—meals that come together quickly but still taste like they took some time. Whether it’s a busy weeknight or a slow Sunday, I believe home cooking should feel rewarding, not overwhelming.

On the blog, you’ll find simple, tested recipes with clear, no-fluff instructions. From comfort food classics to smart prep-ahead meals, everything is designed to save you time without sacrificing flavor. I also share tips that make cooking easier, like shortcuts I’ve picked up from years of doing this with my kids at my side.

You’ll also see guest recipes from my family—my mom Linda’s weekend favorites, my sister Susan’s sweet bakes, and my grandma Angela’s old-school dishes that never go out of style. And if you ever need help, check the comments. This is a community that’s here to cook together, figure things out, and keep it real.
